Why Use a Professional Lettershop?
In-house mail production is slow, error-prone, and expensive. A professional lettershop gives you speed, compliance, and postage savings that are impossible to match with manual labor.
Speed: 18,000 pieces/hour
Our high-speed inserting equipment processes in hours what would take your staff days. Rush turnarounds are available for most project types.
Postage savings via presort
We sort your mail by ZIP code to qualify for USPS automation discounts. Marketing Mail auto rates start at $0.234/pc vs. $0.78/pc retail First-Class (effective January 2025) — savings that add up fast.
Zero USPS surprises
We know every USPS regulation: CASS, NCOA, tabbing rules, IMb barcodes, Full-Service eDoc, and more. Your mail is accepted the first time, every time.
One vendor, end to end
Print, fold, insert, address, sort, and deliver — all from our Salisbury facility. No handoffs between vendors means no errors, no delays, and no excuses.

Our Lettershop Services in Detail
High-Speed Inserting
Our inserting equipment processes up to 18,000 pieces per hour, handling everything from simple one-page letters to complex multi-page documents with up to 6 inserts. We can insert letters, brochures, reply cards, coupons, and more into any standard envelope size.
Folding
We offer all standard fold types: letter fold (C-fold), z-fold, half-fold, gate fold, and roll fold. Folding is done in-line with printing or as a standalone operation, and we confirm fold orientation against USPS addressing zone requirements before production.
Tabbing & Wafer Sealing
Self-mailers and folded flats require tabbing or wafer sealing to meet USPS regulations. We apply tabs to USPS specifications — number, placement, and size — so your pieces qualify for automation rates and pass USPS acceptance without issue.
Inkjet Addressing & IMb Barcoding
We print addresses and Intelligent Mail Barcodes (IMb) directly onto your mailpieces using high-resolution inkjet technology. IMb is required for USPS Full-Service certification, which provides piece-level tracking through Informed Delivery and qualifies for the deepest automation discounts.
Presort & USPS Electronic Documentation
We sort your mail by ZIP code and carrier route to qualify for USPS automation discounts. As a Full-Service provider, we handle all PostalOne! electronic documentation, mail.dat file preparation, and delivery to the correct USPS entry point (BMEU, SCF, or NDC) for maximum savings.
Variable Data Printing
Our digital printing equipment supports full variable data capabilities — personalize each piece with unique names, addresses, custom messaging, images, QR codes, and personalized URLs (PURLs). Variable data printing can lift response rates by 135% compared to generic pieces.
Lettershop Examples by Industry
Every industry has different format, volume, and compliance requirements. Here's how we handle common project types across Delmarva.
How a Typical Lettershop Project Works
Consultation & Quote
Call or submit a request online. We discuss your format, volume, timeline, and postage class. Most quotes are returned within one business day.
Artwork & Data Submission
You send print-ready artwork (PDF) and your mailing list (Excel/CSV) via our secure file upload portal. We check both against USPS specs before production begins.
Proof Approval
We send a digital proof showing the printed piece with address placement, barcode, and any variable data. You approve before we run a single piece.
Production
We print, fold, insert, tab/seal, inkjet address, apply IMb barcodes, and presort to USPS specifications — all in our Salisbury facility.
USPS Entry & Tracking
We deliver your mail to the USPS Business Mail Entry Unit (BMEU) with all required PostalOne! electronic documentation. You receive confirmation of acceptance and can track delivery via Informed Delivery.
