What Is Presort Mail?
When you drop a letter at the post office, USPS has to sort it — by ZIP code, carrier route, and delivery sequence — before it can be delivered. That sorting costs money. If you do that work before handing the mail to USPS, they reward you with a postage discount. That's presort mail.

What Is USPS Full-Service IMb?
The Intelligent Mail Barcode (IMb) is a 65-bar barcode that USPS uses to track and sort every mail piece. The Full-Service program requires unique barcodes on each piece, tray, and pallet — and rewards mailers with additional discounts and free tracking.
