Newsletter Design Tips

Keep Your Layout Consistent

Use a consistent template with defined sections, fonts, and colors. This builds brand recognition and makes your newsletter easier to read — and easier for our team to produce each issue.

Use High-Quality Images

Photos and graphics should be at least 300 DPI for print. Low-resolution images will appear pixelated or blurry. Our prepress team will flag any low-resolution images before printing.

Balance Text and Visuals

Break up long blocks of text with images, pull quotes, and white space. This makes your content more inviting and easier to scan — critical when recipients are deciding whether to read or recycle.

Include a Clear Call-to-Action

Every newsletter should guide readers toward a specific action — visit your website, call for more information, attend an event, or make a donation. Make it prominent and easy to act on.

Plan for the Address Panel

If you're mailing as a self-mailer (no envelope), USPS requires a designated address panel with specific dimensions and clear zones. Our team will ensure your design is compliant before printing.
